Laminar Flowpac makes mass/flow with Laminar Flow Elements simple.

Meriam Process Technologies introduces an integrated system of hardware and software for use with laminar flow elements. LFE (laminar flow elements) have been a standard in low flow applications for years because of their precise mass flow measurement capabilities.

The new Laminar Flowpac System combines all the hardware tools needed for mass flow measurements—pressure, differential pressure, humidity and temperature—with a Windows-based software package. The Softflow software collects all of the information from the hardware system and automatically calculates and tracks your results. All you do is click on the correct set-up information and you’re ready to go.

The system allows operators to make leak testing or automotive gas flow measurements without having to collect all of the equipment needed for the test. The Laminar Flowpac System even calculates the measurement uncertainty for you. And you don’t have to look up all of the coefficients on compressibility factors—everything is in the software.

Hardware comes pre-wired in a NEMA4X box. Simply place the temperature and relative humidity probes and connect the digital computer cable to your PC. Load the software and you’re ready to start.

Typical applications for LFEs include combustion airflow for internal combustion engines, fan and blower calibration, leak testing and testing of automobile components. LFEs are also used to calibrate other flow metering devices.
